Interior Roots Design is a locally owned interior design company. We help homeowners improve their home value, update their home, create more functional spaces, or create a more personalized feel in their home. We can also handle smaller commercial projects.
We help our clients create their perfect oasis without wasting time and money on poor design choices. We have the knowledge and understanding of what will feel and function right and the resources to accomplish this goal.
Lauren McCarthy is the Owner/ Lead Designer of Interior Roots Design. She has always been a creative soul and loves the process of helping clients transform their spaces. She attended college at Texas Tech University and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design. Shortly after she moved to Colorado to pursue a design career that started in the paint industry. Her first professional job was with Kwal Paint as a National Color Specialist. She went on to work for both Sherwin Williams and Guiry’s, which is a locally owned Benjamin Moore dealer. After 10 years working for paint manufacturers/ dealers, she decided to take the leap and pursue her lifelong dream of owning her own design business. She established Interior Roots in the spring of 2019 and hasn’t looked back since. Her design philosophy is “When designed well, a house becomes a home, and the client can set their emotional roots”.

Paint Color Consultations
This is an in-home service with a trained designer and color specialist. We bring all our paint color tools to the client’s location and help them choose colors and color placement that will be cohesive and aesthetically pleasing with all the elements involved. We do both interior and exterior color consults.

Design Consultations
This is an in-home service with a trained designer who understands how to create a space that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. We come to the client’s location and spend time helping them problem solve design issues that they are facing. We will offer up creative solutions to help their space feel more comfortable and function better. This service can be a stand-alone consultation, or it can be followed up with additional services to help the client implement the ideas that are presented during the consult.
Hunter Douglas Window Coverings
We are an authorized Hunter Douglas dealer. Hunter Douglas is the world's leading manufacturer of window coverings and they are well known for developing innovative, high quality, proprietary products. Their products are all made in America and carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Custom Textile Services
We have a large library of fabric/ textile books and accounts with numerous fabric manufacturers so that we can help clients choose fabrics that they love and that express their individual personality and style. These fabrics can be used to create a number of custom products for the clients home including draperies/ window treatments, bedding, fabric covered headboards, throw pillows, and cushions.
Remodeling & Renovation Services
Thinking of doing a large remodeling project? These services are customizable and are intended to help clients with a variety of project types including kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, luxury closet designs, basements, creating built-in entertainment centers, and creating outdoor living spaces. We offer design/ build packages for those clients who wish to have help through the entire journey and design only packages for the clients who wish to oversee the project construction or do the work themselves.
Digital Imaging Services
This service is designed to help clients visualize the final project before any paint is ever applied. With imaging services, we will take a picture of a property and then digitally impose the new colors onto the image so the client can get a good feel for how it will look before the work ever begins. In the long run, it can help save on time, money, and headaches.
Furnishings and Décor
When you have a great space but need the furniture and décor to complete it, we can help. We help our clients find the perfect pieces for their space while saving them the time and frustration of searching all over the place.
